Emily is a licensed Occupational Therapist in Florida and is registered with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy. She earned her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. Emily is passionate about helping children develop the skills needed to participate successfully in everyday activities through individualized, play-based, and family-centered interventions.
Prior to becoming an Occupational Therapist, Emily worked closely with children with developmental and behavioral needs in community-based settings, where she developed a passion for supporting their growth, independence, and participation in meaningful activities. Throughout her occupational therapy education, she completed clinical fieldwork experiences working with pediatric populations across a variety of settings, further strengthening her skills in promoting fine motor development, sensory processing, self-care skills, and participation in meaningful activities.
In addition to her pediatric clinical experiences, Emily completed an internship with Friendship Circle Miami, where she developed and facilitated caregiver wellness workshops focused on self-care strategies and reducing caregiver burnout. This experience strengthened her appreciation for the important role families and caregivers play in a child’s development and therapeutic success.
Emily values collaboration with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members to help children reach their fullest potential. She is dedicated to creating a positive and engaging therapeutic environment that supports each child’s unique strengths and goals.
